I know exactly what your thinking, I’m just another kid trying to get into college just like a lot other. While that may be true there are many things I believe I can bring to any team, and there also many aspirations I have for my college career. Coming from a family of hard workers where my dad wasn’t always around and my mom had to go to college on her own with five kids has really taught how to fend for myself, work together with others and really go after the things you want. Being the first wrestler in my family has force me to get to know the world of wrestling of my own. coming into my second year of high school after going through a serious depression that led to hospitalization, grades dropping and suicidal thoughts, I didn’t really know or care much about wrestling but I knew I was extremely athletic and explosive, so I decided to give it a try. In my first year I went 19-12 nearly making it to state, and winning the teams hardest worker award. the main thing that contributed to my success during my first year was my hard working mentality. I believe that you can always teach moves but you can’t teach mentality, where I’m from you have to go after the things you want, when I started wrestling I was always early to practice eager to learn the next move, the next escape, and I always wanted to go the extra mile just to get Better, because in my mind, there was always someone out there working harder than me. And I wanted to out work that guy. Another reason I think I’m a great recruit is that I’m mold able, coming from a strict family I learned to take orders really well, all you have to do is show me how to do something and I pick up on it instantly. The reason I think this sets me apart is because many wrestlers that have wrestled for long and aren’t the best have bad habits that are hard to get rid. I am an mold able sculpture that is easy to teach things to. I’m also have a great character, I have never got into a fight with teammates or coach’s and I’m a really nice person and I love bringing up my teammates. Especially because I’m from ritenour, a lot of my teammates aren’t the greatest on earth, so I love cheering them on and bringing some energy to the squad, that is why I was chosen to be one of the team’s captains. So all I ask for is a chance, one chance, and I will do whatever it takes to win. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
