Diavantae Reddick '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Diavantae' Reddick, junior wrestler at Ben L. Smith High School. I feel a strong bond with my current team and have been honored to represent them as captain for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 season. The goals I have dedicated myself to achieve throughout my high school wrestling career are to continue to push myself to become a better wrestler and finish my final two years as an State Champion to become a NHSCA High School All-American. My ambitions grew significantly to become a state champion after being ranked #4 in the 4A 138 division only to be removed after acquiring MRSA twice two weeks before competition started. Ever since then, I have strengthened myself physically, mentally, and technically; in my junior year of high school, no matter what the weight I wrestle may be I can and will make my presence felt as I achieve the number one spot at the 4A State Championship. In relation to appearance, I may not look the ideal wrestler image; I am not the fastest guy around and in consideration to speed I may have a disadvantage in comparison to others; one thing I can without a doubt ensure to anyone who watches me on and or off the mat, that I exceed the characteristics of what an average competitor is, my ambition fuels my drive, my grind, and the heart I possess is enough to strengthen me past unforeseen limits -- the previously mentioned traits are those that can be very difficult to find in any other athlete. 

I would welcome the opportunity to attend a college big or small in any region that would adhere to my personal aspirations. I would also like to train with wrestlers of higher skill and be a part of a team that frequently push themselves to be champions in all areas. As a part of all this, the university or college I attend must exceed and challenge my studies in turn so I'll have the ability to enhance my intellectual capacity.
