Personal Statement

I am a 152 lb junior from North Carolina. I am by no means a naturally gifted athlete, but I have used work ethic to earn state titles in cadet freestyle, Greco-Roman, and middle school folkstyle. I seek out competition, and frequently "bump up" for the opportunity to wrestle better competition.

 

I push myself academically just as hard as I do as an athlete. I have a 4.83 GPA and a 2110 on the SAT. I feed on competition, which I feel is especially important in the classroom. I want to go to a college with a tradition of academic excellence so I can challenge myself in the classroom as well as on the mat.
