PERSONAL STATEMENT
I would like to wrestle at a D1 college while pursuing a bachelors degree in Software Engineering.
I am a driven individual who always looks for challenges and ways to better myself. I am very disciplined and work harder than most individuals. For example, when I was 12, I broke my elbow in 2 places in the first match at a wrestling tournament and went on to not only finish the tournament but took second it as well. Even though I had a broken elbow and was in a cast for eight weeks, I continued to go to practice and find ways to progress. That year, even though I had a broken elbow, I was the only wrestler on our team that never missed a practice. I didn't just show up, I continued to push myself. During the time I could not compete, I spent much time at tournaments helping coach and motivate my teammates as well.
I am an honor role student with a 3.62 GPA. I believe I would be an asset to any wrestling team and college academic program.
