I would like to wrestle at a D1 college while pursuing a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
Currently ranked #24 (2014 Junior 113 lbs) in the nation by Wrestling USA Magazine.
I am a driven individual who always looks for challenges and ways to better myself. I am very disciplined and work harder than most individuals. For example, in my sophomore year I broke my hand in the championship match at a large high school wrestling tournament and went on to not only finish the match but won it as well. Even though I had a broken hand and was in a cast for eight weeks, I continued to go to practice and find ways to progress. I was medically released to wrestle the night before the state qualifying tournament. After qualifying, I went on to win the State Championships as well. That year, even though I had a broken hand, I was the only wrestler on our team that never missed a practice. I didn't just show up, I continued to push myself. For example, I would wrap my arm up with pads and wrestled teammates one handed. During the time I could not compete, I spent much time at tournaments helping coach and motivate my teammates as well.
I am an honor role student with a 3.62 GPA. Classes taken include honors courses. I believe I would be an asset to any wrestling team and college academic program.
