Damon Sims Jr. '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Damon “D.J.” Sims Jr. I am a senior at Aliquippa High and I am a returning two year Letterman for the Quips and this is currently my fourth season ever playing football. This season I made 1st Team All-Conference for the Midwestern Athletic Conference. Also, I wrestle for Hopewell High School about three miles away from my school on a co-op deal. (That shows how determined I am to go away from home for the things I love). My whole life could not make weight for football; therefore, I’ve been wrestling since I was three years old. This past season, I qualified for Pennsylvania State Championships as A Heavyweight contender and took 6th place at FloNationals. That is the past though and I'm looking towards my future. I have a good work-ethic, character, and attitude. I am always looking to get better in the sports I love. This past year, I have realized that I want to be successful and give younger people in my community a new leader to look up to, whether an athlete or a college graduate and well-respected man. After high school, I plan on attending a four year University wrestling or playing football on a scholarship and graduating with a degree in Physical Therapy and Athletic Training. I am a blessing in many ways on and off the wrestling mat and football field. While and after I am working on getting my degrees, I to have an impact to youth in my community and other communities as well.
