Samuel Hayes '20 Recruiting Profile

When I first stepped on the wrestling mat at the age of five, I knew the sport was for me. Now here I am, twelve years later and I am continuing to train daily for the sport I love the most. Wrestling has been and always will be a major part of my life. This year my goal is to be on the top end of the PA AAA state podium. I know I have what it takes to be the best in the state at my weight class. Even though I have had disappointments in my first two high school seasons, I still know what I am capable of accomplishing. I know that when it comes to wrestling, you are either winning or learning, and this attitude has helped me to grow though each experience. When I think about the fact that I haven't made that state podium since 8th grade, it drives me to work harder and more vigorously every day. Wrestling has made me a better person and has guided me on a path towards success in all parts of my life.
