Personal Statement

Growing up, I faced childhood trauma that tested my resilience. Wrestling became my outlet—a space where I could confront my inner struggles, both physical and emotional. Through the challenges of the sport, I discovered the strength within myself to persevere and embrace adversity as a trigger for growth. Wrestling isn’t just about victories on the mat; it's an ongoing journey of reclaiming my worth, one hard-fought match at a time. 

These experiences have ensured inclusivity and teamwork as a foundation to my character. This combined with a strong desire to succeed and grit instilled in me from great coaches contribute to achieving academic, emotional, and physical goals now and in the future.
