Personal Statement

CHARACTER - DEDICATION - GOALS

My leadership qualities are what define my character. I am dedicated to achieving my best. I?work hard to make sure I accomplish my goals. I fulfill obligations and take pride in being successful. I?lead by example and set high standards for myself. I give respect and except those around me to be positive and thoughtful. I?encourage people to be honest and non-judgmental to others. I have an open mind, and my friends and family appreciate my opinion.
I want to be part of a college level wrestling program because I set out to accomplish the goal to be my best and to get recognized by coaches who see the potential in me. College coaches hold high standards for the team members. I personally hold high standards for myself and I would set goals to be an active and valuable contributor. Being in the wrestling room with others who challenge me and can pick apart my wrestling will make me better. This would help me to develop into a college wrestler and be surrounded by fellow students with the same mindset and goals I have. I come from a small town with few college level competitors. Not because they lack talent but because they lack the drive. I look forward to being around those who thrive on the natural adrenaline rush of being on the mat.
My goal is to maintain highest honors while being a scholar athlete in college. Making positive choices and leading by example is important to me. I don't look at being a college wrestler as an easy task. I will take the challenge and take the sets to be my best wrestler and accomplish the goal to graduate. I want to be the best person I can be and wrestling has taught me that so far. I want to include wrestling in this next chapter of my adult life and use the valuable lessons I have from wrestling.
Thank you for considering me, Trenton McManus
