Chris Ruf '16 Recruiting Profile

I started wrestling in the 7th grade. Between the 7th and 8th grade, I won 4 matches.  As a freshman wrestling varsity, my record was 28-14.  I enjoy the sport and saw my potential at getting better. I started wrestling tournaments and doing various wrestling camps . As a sophomore, I qualified for state.  As a junior, my record was 31-7.  I wrestled for the Wisconsin National Team, the summer between my junior and senior year. My senior year my record was 45-3.  My losses where against state place winners. I qualified for state by winning regionals and sectionals.  I wrestled in the finals and placed 2nd.  I enjoy wrestling and wrestle and compete every chance I get.  I was born and raised on a dairy farm and I have an incredible work ethic. Because of my work ethic, I have taken rigorous courses in high school and maintained a 3.415 GPA while participating in 3 sports each year of high school. Again this summer, I am wrestling on the Wisconsin National Team.  I plan on wrestling in college and my goal is to be an All American.
