John Post '12 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coach, 

I was born in Long Island, NY, but spent my elementary school years with my family in Bolivia, South America, where soccer was the only team sport played in school or in clubs. Since returning to the United States in December 2005 I have immersed myself in football and have been dedicated to becoming the best football player I can be. This is my sixth year of football. I love this game and with each passing year it has gotten better. 

I am certain that with hard work and your guidance, I will develop as far as my large frame can take me. Although I have played on the offensive line for the last six years, I believe I have the body type and abilities to play Tight End. I am open to all opportunities.

I am most interested in the integrity of the football program combined with scholastic opportunities. I have no preconceived expectations as to whether I will be able to play as a college freshman or longer before I can take the field. But you have my word that I will give you and the team my best each and every day.

In addition to the football program I am also looking for a school that has a recognized Pre-Med program.

Though I am the youngest of the family and the only child still at home, I have responsibilities, chores to complete regardless of my schedule or the lateness of the day, and I know that no form of disrespect, dishonesty, or excuses would ever be tolerated. I am grateful to my parents for these values, and I bring them with me to the classroom, the practice field and Friday night lights, and everything else I do. My head football coach, Matt Johnson, can be quoted as having told my parents that I "Have a first class work ethic."
