Curtis Hebert '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Curtis Hebert and I will graduate from high school in 2022. I aspire to play baseball at the next level while I earn a college degree. 

I am a versatile utility player at shortstop, catcher, third base, second base, and pitcher. I am proud of my ability as an athlete to help my team wherever I am the most needed.

I believe in the following: (1) Pursue your passions. I am most passionate about baseball! (2) Respect and appreciate the people in your life, including yourself, your coaches, your mentors, your teachers, your parents, your teammates, your friends, as well as your opponents. (3) Work hard and be diligent. Study, work out, and put the reps in. Be early and stay late. Prepare for the big moments in the small moments. Make your own luck. (4) When it’s time, rise to the occasion. Rely on your preparation, find your focus, and get the job done when the pressure is on. (5) Aim to be the best you can be as an individual, but also be a good teammate, on the baseball field and off. (6) Do the right thing even if it is the more difficult thing.

I sometimes fall short of these intentions, but I believe that if I am guided by these principles and strive toward these ideals, I will be the best person and best ball player that I can possibly be. That is my goal.
