Zack Langer '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Zack Langer.  I am currently going into my Senior year at Fountain Hills High School in Arizona. My preferred position is shortstop, but I am comfortable playing 2nd Base. I am a confident hitter who understands the importance of every at-bat. I have started every game at the Varsity level since my Freshman year. I made four errors and was second on our team in batting average which earned me  First Team All-Region as a Freshman.  My Sophomore year ended due to Covid after only 10 games. During my Junior year of high school baseball, I batted .429% with 24 hits. I played shortstop all year and only made 3 errors the whole season with a .939 fielding percentage. My work this year earned me Defensive Player of the Year in my conference. I also was the second leading hitter in our conference. 

I play high school baseball and basketball. I enjoy riding dirt bikes in our desert, wake surfing and playing golf (right  handed). But ultimately, my focus in sports is baseball.  I will give it my all to play at the college level. I want to be challenged and continue to learn things that will improve my overall baseball skills.

My current GPA is a 3.6. I have taken 4 of my 5 honors classes that enable me to graduate with a honors diploma.
