Personal Statement

Baseball has and will continue to shape me as a person. Baseball has given me joy and at the same, has exposed me to adversity. As a result, it has provided me invaluable life lessons. I fell in love with baseball in Little League. I was first drawn to the big plays: the home runs, the big strikeouts, and the flashy web gems. However, as I watched more, I began to enjoy the little things: the pitch-to-pitch adjustments, the timing up of a pitcher on the basepaths, and the gamesmanship of a quality at-bat. Baseball is my passion. This passion has fueled me to work hard to continue to improve my craft. I aspire to bring this passion into college and contribute to a team to build or continue something special.

I strive to be one of the best all-around athletes on the field. I pride myself on bringing physicality athleticism and bringing all five tools to the baseball field. I believe my skills and athleticism allow me to perform on both the infield, in the outfield, and on the bump. I am always looking to further my development. I am very coachable and pick up on cues quickly. While on a team, I look to lead and bring energy to the dugout.

I work just as hard in the classroom, maintaining a GPA of over 4.0 and always taking the hardest classes possible. I enjoy exposing myself to new topics and working in groups. I understand the importance of my education and always strive to continue learning. I want to attend a college that challenges me in the classroom and on the field. I am open to all options that would strike the balance between high-level competition and rigorous education. I seek continuous improvement to make myself, my parents, and my community proud.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
