Personal Statement
I have lived in many different cities throughout my life. I was homeschooled as a young child in California and then my parents moved my siblings and I to Ueberlingen, a small town in Germany. We had to travel 45 minutes in the train every day to an international school called ISSH. Living there, I experienced different cultures, learned to communicate in German (and other languages) and studied an International Baccalaureate education. After 3 years I moved to Massachusetts which is where I was introduced to lacrosse. I found the sport challenging, creative and thrilling (especially when I scored or beat a defenseman). I enjoyed the sport so much that I decided to pursue off season club lacrosse and found my entire year filled with traveling to tournaments.
I moved to Tucson, Arizona when I was a 7th grader and found that lacrosse wasn't as big of a sport here. We worked hard to grow the sport in Tucson and tried out different club programs across Arizona. I love playing lacrosse and look forward to playing in college. My frequent moves and experience with other cultures makes me unique. I am able to adapt to tough situations and look for the solution instead of dwelling on the problem. When I put my mind to something and I want it, there is nothing that will stop me.
