Personal Statement
Not making it to state and having the first losing season in my baseball programs history as a freshman made me realize that you just don't get things handed to you and that we we have to work at things to become a better team. After seeing how not making it to state my freshman year impacted the seniors I didn't want that for any of the seniors in the upcoming years and for the whole team. My sophomore year is when I really started to put an impact on the team. I started to really focus on my craft and doing anything I could to get better and help the team. This is when I realized I want to compete at the college level for baseball. The more I worked on my craft the more I fell in love with the sport and wanted to compete at the college level.
I have been lucky to play for a good program making it to state every year after my freshman year. It really humbled me as a person and a player the year we didn't make it to state. For the next three years I learned what its like to make sacrifices, be a leader, and a good teammate. I am one of two captains in my program and I believe that I have the skills to compete at the college level but also I believe I will be able to come help your baseball program. After my four years with my program I feel that I have the skills, work ethic, determination, and leading skills to come and impact your program.
