Nicholas Chaney '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a junior at Heber Springs High School in Heber Springs, Arkansas.  Although I consider myself a utility player, most recent coaches have used me at the middle and corner infield positions of SS and 3rd base.  Were a coach to need me to switch to an OF position to fill a need, I have done enough OF that I would be comfortable doing that.  I have also contributed to my teams as a RHP, having been used as both a starting pitcher and a closer.  In addition to baseball, I am also a running back and line backer on my high school football team.  My goal is to play baseball at the next level.  The grind is something I understand.  Throughout my playing career, I have always taken private lessons with speed/agility, pitching, and hitting/fielding coaches.  I do these lessons year round, not just during the month or two before baseball season.   I always stay hungry and push myself to improve every time I step on the field or into the classroom and I will continue to do that in college.
