Grady Johnson '26 Recruiting Profile

I have had a love of baseball since I was 3 years old. It started in the backyard with a plastic bat and ball. I started playing organized ball when I was 5 and I have been playing at the highest competitive level since. I am a great leader on and off the field and a humble yet confident person. I recognize the importance of success both in the classroom and on the field. As such, I hold myself accountable with both my studies and my performance.

I am a very self driven individual and I hold my sport and academics in very high regard. I know what is needed of me to compete at the next level and I will do whatever it takes to achieve both my team and personal goals. Academically, I have been an A average student my whole life and plan to keep it that way. I have aspirations to become a lawyer.

I am well organized and am able to balance my schoolwork while being a year round athlete. On the field, I am a great team player and am driven to help my team succeed in any way possible. I thrive in high pressure situations and have the mental strength to move forward when things don't go as planned.  I have a willingness to win and I come to the ballpark prepared to give one hundred percent effort each time.
