Personal Statement
I am a 6’4” outfielder from Alameda High School in Alameda, CA, class of 2019. After making varsity as a freshman and playing part-time, I have been the starting centerfielder as a sophomore, junior, and senior, leading the team in average, OBP and runs scored as a sophomore, then leading the team in steals and finishing with a .431 OBP as a junior. My overall GPA is 3.34, I scored 1220 on the SAT, and I've challenged myself with AP courses in math and science.
I'm proud of the fact that our AHS Hornets baseball team earned NCS Academic Excellence honors this year. One hundred seventy-eight teams compete for these honors in each sport; only the top three are recognized!
I am a sponge for competition and baseball has been my passion since I could first hold a bat. What I love most about baseball is the reward it provides for hard work. Ideally, I am interested in a school with a good reputation for math and science, regardless of geography, division, or school size. I would like to make an impact in a competitive program where my hard work ethic and team-first attitude can fit in.
