My name is James Salinas. I have been playing baseball for 4 seasons. Even with the fact I have only played 4 seasons, I have made great improvements in my game each season and small improvements each day. I learned to pitch beginning of the sophomore season and have improved greatly and learned many new things on how to be better. Each month I feel my velo go up and more movement on my pitches. I take any advice on playing that will help me improve. I have good listening skills and work well with teammates.
I have learned to not watch the game but to read the game, understanding and knowing what each player is thinking and what they will do. This helps with sequencing pitches and helping teammates control the pace of the game and kill the morale of the opposing team. While baseball is a team sport individual actions will change the game in an instant and will either win or lose the game, if you can get in the head of a batter it will put them in a slump on the spot and they will spiral and start overthinking everything. These are what I have learned through trial and error, making the best batter on the team into a 9-hitter is what I enjoy in baseball.
