I am from Riverside, CA. Beginning at the age of six, I developed a passion playing the position of catcher. As a student of the position, I’ve successfully been able to add the technical aspects to my game including footwork, framing, ball location, pitch selections and quick release. As I developed over the years, I have also been able to add size, speed and power to my game resulting in me being inserted to various outfield and infield positions on my days off from behind the plate.
I have always challenged myself to do better, work harder and be competitive. This mentality parallels into everything I do, as I always give one hundred percent of my effort, whether it be a job, sport, or relationship. Coaches often share their feedback that I am ‘Coachable’. I believe this to be true and recognize the learning process never ends. My baseball achievements through my sophomore year includes being a starter on Varsity the past two years, Varsity Rookie of the Year (2021), and Varsity MVP (2022). The MVP designation was special because the award was recognition from my teammates and coaches exclusively.
Baseball has given me the opportunity to create and maintain relationships with all different types of people, regardless of background, interests, or personality. I value the importance of teamwork and dedication to working hard.
I am proud of maintaining my grades in school while balancing a healthy social, athletic, and academic life at the same time. Time management with a busy schedule is one of my biggest challenges, but I will not let it alter my goals. I am eager to continue the journey of taking my baseball career to the collegian level, while finding the right academic institution.
