My name is Luke Pruitt, I am a left handed attack player from Riverside, California. I have been a multi sport athlete in high school, starting on both Football and Lacrosse at the Varsity level, I hope to continue playing Lacrosse at the collegiate level. I have played Lacrosse for five consecutive years, at both club and high school levels. During my high school career I have been a starting Varsity player since my freshman year. During my sophomore (2019) and junior (2020) seasons I led my team in points and goals, as well as earning first team all league my sophomore year in the Big 8 conference. Through the first six games of 2020 I scored 20 points with 8 goals. I will play football all four years of my high school experience, a 3 year Varsity starter, playing the positions of strong safety, running back and quarterback. I have earned Scholar/Athlete honors while playing both sports and have had the honor of being Team Captain in Lacrosse my Sophomore and Junior years.
I have taken several AP and honors classes, especially enjoying my AP History classes. Extracurricularly, I have been especially involved in Young Life and PTSA, being a student delegate at the state convention 2 years in a row. I have been a lifeguard during the summer and taught swimming lessons as a local city employee. This coming school I plan to spearhead a fundraising effort for childhood cancer research. This cause is important to me as my little sister was diagnosed with Pediatric Leumkemia in December of 2018.
My entire life I have enjoyed traveling and the opportunity to experience new things. In college I would like to participate in a study abroad program in order to expand my world view. Approaching my next four years I am hopeful in finding a school which is the perfect fit for me, and pushes me both academically off the field, but physically on the Lacrosse field.
