my father influenced me to be the hard working i am today. Seeing what he did everyday coming home late when i was a kid just to make sure me and my sisters had something to eat and had the supplies to be successful, he started the foundation and path for me to chase my dreams.
I started getting interested and investing when I was 12 years old. I never really believed I was ever good but my coaches always believed In me and pushed me to towards my potential that I never knew i had. Since then I haven't looked back and always wanted to reach the top and be the best I could be.
One thing I have learned by playing sports was how much life lessons it has to give. Baseball the game in general is a life lesson i think i love it so much because i could relate to it. I could look at the struggle and its nothing i have never been through, being the underdog has always been my life story.
One big academic goal i have for myself going into my junior year of high school is being great in the class room just like how I am on the field. I wanna shoot for a 3.0+ GPA. I know it would be a challenge for me but I am one to never back down from a challenge.
I feel like overcoming obstacles has been my whole life. I know theirs always going to be people to say "you could never do this" looking where you come from and seeing that theirs not a lot of people making it, it scares me. I don't want to see my family struggle, even though the world is against me i just pray the pieces will fall in the puzzle. And hope i'm doing the right things to be successful.
One unique thing about me is that I don't fold under pressure. I don't like giving up, to me those are the moments everyone lives for. Those are the make you or break you moments and i feel like bringing that mentality to my teammates will help us shine together.
