I showed an interest in baseball at a very young age and my love for the sport of baseball has been supported and continually influenced by my close family and friends. I love baseball and all that it offers me for many reasons, but most specifically, because it has taught me the importance of respect and goal setting. I have learned that respect for other players, for coaches, for the integrity of baseball itself can shape the type of person that I am becoming. I use my baseball work ethic and goal setting methodology in academics as well.
While being a four-year Varsity athlete I have earned CIF recognition by being named to the First Team All-League for Spring of 2022 as well as being named Co-Captain for my Senior season. I have had the opportunity to participate in the multiple high-level events such as the Academic All-American in Vero Beach, Florida in December 2021 as well as the National Championships in Arizona this summer. I have continued to push myself by taking advanced and AP/IB & Dual Enrollment classes and maintain a 4.5 GPA heading into my senior year.
Other than playing baseball, my future goals include wanting to give back to my community by helping the youth enjoy sports like I have. My parents have modeled what it is to serve others through their years of volunteer coaching, and I see the impact it makes on children. I have enjoyed helping my parents with their teams because I see what a difference I make when a younger baseball player looks up to me and sees my determination and never quit attitude. I am comfortable being a leader and a role model. Baseball has given me confidence in myself, and my ability and I want to continue to strive to be the best baseball player and person that I can be to show future players that they can do it as well.
