Since I was 5 or 6 years old, I knew I wanted to play professional baseball. As I got older I realized that obviously that wouldn't be easy but I've always been motivated to play at the highest levels I can. I've always just loved the game, and while I'm mainly a pitcher, I'm also very versatile. I play corner infield and outfield too, and I can hit. Pressure has also never really gotten to me, and I feel like that's the main reason I feel so comfortable on the mound. I stay composed in any situation and I'm at home controlling the game.
As for academics, I enjoy school and it has always been really important to me. I'm actually going to a small private school that doesn't have a developed athletics program yet so I've been playing entirely on club teams. I'm confident that's an obstacle I can overcome and I think that academically my school is going to give me a big advantage later on.
I'm also motivated to maintain a high GPA because I know that grades are really important to play baseball in college. I'm committed to keeping up a high GPA and getting better on the field.
