I absolutely love baseball because it challenges me mentally and physically. Every game is different and it's a sport where you have to realize that it's not going to be enough to be athletically gifted. Baseball giftedness also takes a good "baseball IQ" and an ability to persevere and work hard through failure. I find it fun and thrilling to be a part of the game. When I am playing baseball I tend to be having so much fun that it is contagious for my teammates. I get everyone pumped up and naturally lead in morale and spirit. I suppose that is what makes me unique. I bring fun and friendliness to the table on and off the field. While I believe in working hard and pushing myself, I also feel that humility and kindness are special traits I possess. As I'm researching colleges and figuring out where I might see myself, I definitely have some hopes and dreams. Since I work hard in school and have goals beyond baseball, I do hope to attend a college that will challenge me academically and help launch me into a successful future. It would be a dream to be a part of a baseball program that is both highly competitive but also a unified group. I am looking for a college team that has a coaching staff that not only creates great baseball players into a unified winning team, but also is intent on building great men. At the end of the day I want to be an excellent human being and have integrity in everything I do in life while using the gifts and talents I have to contribute to my community.
