Baseball has made me into who I am today, and I will forever be grateful for the way the game has molded me into the young man I am today. Most importantly it has taught me self- discipline, by learning how to fail on my own and battling through the mental hurdles that occur throughout the long seasons. I have developed a discipline in training whether it’s my meals, gym workouts, fielding workouts or academics. Baseball is a game of failure and I feel the way I have routinely trained has prepared me for any adversity I might face at the next level. I have been nominated as the Team Captain for Excelsior Varsity baseball program as a freshman this shows as a testament of my hard work and team first mentality. I am an athletic catcher with the ability to be a true utility player to help my team win. I believe I will bring strong leadership skills, and a team first mentality to any team I play for.
