Since I was a little kid, I always loved baseball. Playing it, practicing it, watching it. It was so much fun and it gave me an outlet for all that excess energy. But around middle school, everything got harder, the players were smarter, hits were harder, pitches were faster. I wasn’t as good, and I gave up. I spent my time working out and screwing around, but freshman year, I realized that they weren’t much stronger, and I wasn’t that far off anymore, so I stopped screwing around, picked the bat back up, and have been working my butt off to be the absolute best I can, and get as far as I can go, whatever level that ends up being. I can’t say I’ll be the best on anyone’s team, but I can promise I will work as hard as I can to try to. I will be at every practice, every workout, every team building exercise, excited to be there, and ready to work.
