Gunnar Duncan - Catcher

Personal Statement:

I am Gunnar Duncan and I reside in Eaton CO. I am part of the 2024 graduating class and I am proud to say I have committed to play baseball and continue my academics at Butler University! Baseball has always been my biggest passion, ever since I can remember. I thrive on the competition, the teamwork and complex strategies of the game. I am currently a senior catcher playing for Eaton High School in Eaton CO. My club team is with the Slammers North Baseball Club - Embry, Class of 2024 Select Team. 

My primary position is catcher with middle infield as my secondary position. On the field, I will command calmness while knowing and projecting strategy, routine and teamwork on the field. My defense will prevent runs. My offense will move baserunners. I have quick feet, a solid set up behind the plate and my reaction time is one step ahead in any given situation. I work quietly but well with any teammate and I am a true competitor when it comes to the game of baseball. 

In the classroom, I am a good student and I continue to work hard in my school work to ready myself for the real world.

My goals are to continue my baseball career as long as I am able while getting a solid post secondary education.
