Baseball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I cannot imagine doing anything else. I was introduced to baseball when I was young living in Atlanta, and I continued to play when we moved to Colorado in 2012. The game has shaped my life in many ways. It has taught me how to be resilient, committed, responsible, humble, and a team member. The opportunities I have been given have made me challenge myself to be better as a player and a person.
I took on as a catcher at the age of 8 or 9 years old and I haven’t looked back. I love this position as it is the most engaging and toughest position on the team, with maybe the exception of a pitcher. I thrive to be the focal point for the pitcher and to dare runners to steal. As of now, I am 6’ft, 175lb with my primary position catcher, but willing to play anywhere the team needs me as my speed has been an asset in assisting in working the outfield.
I realize that I must continue to grow, develop and be stronger than everyone else, so I condition and work on my craft year-round. I take nothing for granted and appreciate every opportunity I get to play the game. I focus on being the best I can be for my team because I never want to let them down.
I have my sights set to play in college. I believe playing at the next level provides endless opportunities and a drive to succeed on and off the field. I am deciding to major in Business, Political Science, or both. The type of school I am looking to be a part of is one that will allow me to pursue my dreams.
