Personal Statement

After God and family, baseball is my greatest love. My Father having played college baseball has shared with me his experiences and the sacrifices it takes to get ahead. I push myself every day putting in the work to reach my full potential.

I'm an extremely hard worker in the classroom, weight room and on the field. I take great pride in my character and leadership ability setting high standards for myself and those around me.

The bonds formed with teammates goes beyond the diamond and has helped my growth as a leader both as a person and an athlete. I believe I'm a great fit both skill and character-wise for a baseball program at the collegiate level.

My goal after baseball is to be involved in the Health & Fitness industry involving sports, potentially one day running my own business.

2024 Top Prospect (High Follow) 2022 Pre-season All American Team - Honorable Mention. Tyler Kisling is a 2024 OF/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from New Milford, CT. Strong athletic build. Ran the sixty in 7.02 seconds. A primary outfielder, he took efficient routes to balls and had some carry on his throws. His best toss from the outfield was clocked at 79 MPH. At the plate, he hits out of a balanced, open stance and showcased advanced bat speed through the zone with power to all fields. His bat path has some natural loft to it and stays in the zone for an extended period of time. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 slot with looseness in the arm path. He compliments his fastball with a curveball that flashed late bite and depth. Good student in the classroom as well.

Tyler Kisling is a tall, athletic OF/RHP at 6-1 185 lb. from New Milford, CT who is a prospect on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying outstanding hitting / power potential through a tall setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Feet are active and works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness (7.18 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (80 mph velocity) to his target. On the mound, he shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 77 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 3 years to further develop, Tyler has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

2024 Top Prospect / Ranked #347 Nat'l, #2 - CT, Tyler Kisling is a 2024 OF/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from New Milford, CT. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Strong runner, posted a 6.73 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, aggressive actions and athleticism plays on approach to the ball, fields it to the side, works to an over-the-top release point and shows carry with accuracy to the intended base. Plays with a bounce to his step in the infield, soft hands out front with a clean funnel, works to a lower slot and shows ability to change release point. Also pitched, full windup on the mound, moving parts to delivery and works to a similar over-the-top release point; fastball topped out at 80 mph, nice life out of the hand, mixed a two-seamer in the low-70s. Worked around the zone and mixed in an 11-5 shaped curveball with slurve action through the zone up to 69 mph. The athletically built right-handed hitting outfielder uses good lower half movements into contact and has looseness to his hands and wrists. Kisling has gap-to-gap power potential with a simple and repeatable stroke through the zone and shows some present strength at impact. He stays compact and on a linear plane working the gaps well with comfort. Kisling shows bat speed to the point of contact as he creates good backspin and delivers the barrel with authority. Good student. Named to the Fall Northeast Top Prospect List.
