Tyler Harger '23 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has made me a better person in many ways. I have learned to balance my academics and athletics while maintaining a 4.0 GPA in all Honors and AP classes. By playing on many teams, I have learned how important it is to get along with not only my teammates, but the coaching staff as well. My job as a catcher is to make sure my pitching staff feels comfortable and confident with the skills they contain. When things don’t  go according to plan, I’ve learned to step up and help others get back on track, not only the pitching staff but the whole team in general, including myself. I believe that being a good teammate is the most important aspect to being a good player, a characteristic that is overlooked at times.
