Rocco Iervasi '15 Recruiting Profile

          My name is Rocco Iervasi Jr.  I was born and raised in Staten Island, New York.  I am a 17 year old student currently in my senior year of HS  and I live in New Port Richey, Florida.  I moved to Florida a little over three years ago.

         I have been playing baseball for as long as I can remember, from tee ball at 5 years old, little league until I was 13, travel ball since the age of 9, up to the present, where I am playing for my High School, River Ridge as a varsity pitcher/outfielder, and for the JMBC Sentinels 18U, an academy run by former MLB player Julius Matos.  I love to play baseball, period.  I also love following the pros, learning how to play the game correctly, and challenging myself every time I step on the field.

          My dream is to take my game to the next level, and I feel that college ball is the next logical step for me. I have so much to bring but also much to learn, and with the right program and coach, I feel that we can help each other reach our goals.    I hope to be able to play for a coach who will bring the best out of me and that I can help his team be as successful as possible. I thrive on competitiveness and I bring that intensity and drive to succeed every time I step onto the field.    I want to keep playing the game of baseball for as long as possible.  I also want to go to college because I want to be a success at whatever I choose as a career. While in college, I would love to study Sports Management as my goal is to someday become a professional sports player agent.  While I will always work as hard as I can to make it to the pro level, it will always be my dream to be able to use my knowledge of baseball and other sports to help others succeed no matter where I eventually end up.
