Hansen Smith '23 Recruiting Profile

    While growing up my family has had the greatest impact of who I am. They have helped set standards and teach me good morals in life. An example of this was when I was three, they brought me to YMCA and had me play every sport that was there. Out of those sports, I chose soccer to continue as I enjoyed it the most. When growing up in life, soccer has taught me that I love being on a team and playing for more than just myself. I love to play physical and am not afraid to use my body. I have learned that I am a natural born leader and have respect for others. When I was nearing my middle school years, I had gained a lot of extra weight. Through dieting and constant exercise, I have been able to overcome that obstacle and further develop as a soccer player.

    My goals in college are to continue my development as a soccer player, get a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering. I understand the importance of a higher education as both of my parents have had successful careers after graduating from college. I am looking for a university that is going to help me in my career after college, as a great education is necessary to succeed in the modern world.
