My name is Brandon Steele and my passion is baseball. When I switched to travel ball at the age of 10 is when I realized how much I truly love the game and want to continue playing to reach the highest level.
As a freshman I was a starting pitcher on the JV team and earned the nickname "Iceman" due to my control, command, demeanor on the mound and ability to get out of a jam. I use a 3 pitch mix... fastball, curve, change-up and utilize an effective pickoff move. When I am not on the mound I play corner infield and corner outfield and I'm considered a line drive hitter with a good eye at the plate.
Academics are very important to me. I am continuing to take AP classes and plan to dual enroll as a junior. I am open to all opportunities at the collegiate level that will allow me to play ball as well as show my academic ability.
Some of the things I enjoy off the field are 4-wheeling, shooting and playing basketball. I play basketball at the rec level to try to maximize my athletic ability. I also enjoy traveling with family and watching the Avengers movie series.
I have been blessed to have the opportunity to work with former and current MLB players and coaches to improve my pitching and hitting skills and I look forward to seeing what my future at the college level brings with baseball and academics.
