Gabriel Rodriguez '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I’m Gabriel Rodriguez. Thank you for visiting my profile. I’m a 2021 grad who plays for the University High School Cougars. I’m originally from the Dominican Republic and  moved to the United States in 2019 in search of a better future.

I’m an outstanding student. I work very hard day in and day out to be as good as I can in the classroom. I’m a member of the NSHSS (National Society of High School Scholars), have great grades, and good attitude. I take my academics very seriously and I am aware that education is the most important thing as a student-athlete.

Athletically I’m mainly a pitcher but I can play first and the outfield. I was in a very competitive travel ball team in the Dominican Republic and I excelled in intense competition year round. At the age of 15 I entered a baseball academy run by ex profesional baseball player Ronny Brito. In this academy I trained and played with extremely talented young players and professional players who came to train. 

I have a very good work ethic and I love to get better every day. I’m a quick learner and i’m always disposed to learn and make adjustments to succeed. If you accept me into your program you will be getting an excellent student and someone with hunger to succeed and learn from those around me on the field.
