John (JD) Gardner '17 Recruiting Profile

     I want to play college baseball because it would combine my love for the game with my goal of obtaining a college degree. I believe I have the drive and discipline to do both. My college academic interests are communications and business. 

     I have played organized baseball since I was three years old. I consider myself to be a hard worker and a good teammate. I constantly try to improve my game by setting goals so that the team as a whole will benefit. I respect my coaches, teammates, umpires, and the game itself.

     I would consider playing at the college level an honor and a privelege. In addition to varsity baseball, I play rec league soccer to stay in shape and experience other sports. I am active as a volunteer in my community. With baseball in mind, I will continue to work hard on and off the field until my goal is achieved.
