Personal Statement

I’ve been a three sport (baseball, football, wrestling) varsity athlete since my Freshman year (while maintaining an A average) at Pace Academy in Atlanta and have earned 11 varsity letters. In order to achieve success playing three sports, it requires a combination of physical power, speed, and technical skills. More than anything I attribute my success to mental toughness.

I’ve spent my high school years fully immersed in all that Pace Academy has to offer - clubs, performing arts, leadership opportunities, study abroad trips and more.

My goal is to play competitive baseball and study at a high academic school where I can contribute in a meaningful way on the field and off.

  • “Will is a third baseman from the class of 2024.   This kid is a good player. He has the frame of a college player already. He’s 6’ 190, but can run. He ran a 7.06, which is good, especially considering he is in the class of 24.   Will is a good athlete with all the tools to play the infield in college. He has good hands and a strong accurate arm. His approach to ground balls is solid, and his concentration level on defense is excellent. He’s athletic on the body control play as well, which is so important to left side infielders. He could play SS, but I think he is best suited for 3B, where coaches look for power, which I feel quite sure he will develop.   This kid is going to be a high level D3 guy or a D1 guy. He works on his speed and simply continues to improve his craft, I think he will land somewhere in D1. Power potential through the roof. Corner guy at the next level.”

  • (Award: Showcase Top Prospect Team) Will Moore (2024, GA) led the way for the 6-Orange offense going 2-3 with 1 double and 1 run scored. Moore (2024) is ranked on the Follow list by Perfect Game. Will Moore is a 2024 OF/3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Pace Academy. Long and lean athletic build with good present strength and room for more. Primary outfielder on defense but showed better actions and tools in the infield this event with a third base profile. Arm worked well in the infield with some carry, moved well side to side and was athletic and balanced charging the ball, changed throwing slots well. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread and open start with a big stride into contact, lean and lift approach, gets long at times who causes him to be late, has the strength and athleticism to keep improving with adjustments. Power: 87.83 max exit velocity, averaged 80.27 mph. 301.00’ max distance. Arm: R/R. Short arm action to a low 3/4 slot, drops down lower on the infield to sidearm at-times.   • Will is an athletic OF/3B prospect who showed well during the Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through a square setup. He is smooth to load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and great gap to gap power. In the field, Will shows efficient footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate/on-line through his target.
