Brian Grant '28 Recruiting Profile

As I reflect on my journey in baseball, I see a path defined by passion, versatility, and a commitment to excellence. My name is Brian Grant, and I am a proud member of the Woodward Academy class of 2028, where I have maintained a 3.7 GPA. Balancing academics and athletics has always been a priority for me, and I believe that my strong work ethic off the field translates directly to my performance on it. 

Playing as a second baseman, pitcher, and catcher has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the game. I take great pride in my defensive skills, showcasing a solid feel for the leather and footwork that keeps me agile on the big field. My ability to adapt and excel in multiple positions has not only made me a valuable asset to my teams but has also deepened my appreciation for the sport. At the plate, I strive for consistency and power, approaching every at-bat with confidence and determination. I relish the opportunity to run the bases, where I can utilize my speed and instincts to create opportunities for my team. As a pitcher, I maintain a level head, embracing the pressure of tight situations. My focus is on executing each pitch with precision, knowing that my teammates are counting on me. 

Currently, I have the privilege of playing travel ball with the Aviators Nation Program, as well as competing on the War Eagles Baseball team at Woodward Academy, under the guidance of Varsity Coach John Hurston. These experiences have shaped my character and taught me the value of teamwork, discipline, and resilience. As I continue to grow as a student-athlete, I remain dedicated to honing my skills and contributing to my teams' success. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, both in the classroom and on the field.
