Alexandru Grama '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Alexandru Grama and I'm an athlete from Decatur, Georgia. I've taken interest in sports ever since I was young, when I started playing baseball. I fell in love with the game and knew that if I dedicated time to improve, I would be able to play in the next level. I'm a hard worker who will strive to achieve any goal set upon me, whether that be on the field or off the field in the classroom. 

I began my career baseball when I was 5 years old and have progressed up to playing for a very competitive travel team. Throughout my experiences on the field I've learned that you see a player's true colors when they are 0-4 with an error, and that it's important to stay positive even in bad conditions. Throughout all of my baseball career I've had coaches tell me that I'm a leader. I've learned that baseball requires a team to win so I use my leadership skills to bring the players together as well as motivate my teammates to want to succeed. 

When I was 6 years old I looked my mom in the eyes and told her "I was born to play baseball" and it's my dream to continue to play ball in the collegiate level - not only to learn new things, but also to continue doing what I love.
