Personal Statement
Proverbs 27:1-2 Do not boast about tomorrow , for you do not know what a day may bring forth. Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth: a stranger, and not your own lips.
While my dad and I were creating this profile he challenged me to think of the best way to describe myself. I am naturally shy so it was hard for me to "sell" myself. He has an old football helmet mounted on a plaque he had since high school. Inside the helmet is an old index card with a verse from the bible, which is Proverbs 27:1-2. It is written above. This best describes me and my approach to baseball. It's important to me to perform well, and take on challenges. To perform and win with my teammates, in a humble fashion, is important to me.
My mother always tells me before games to have "clear eyes and full hearts, can't lose." The wisdom of her words has resonated with me since I was 4 years old.
I love family, God, team, and helping others. I believe I will be a future coach, and possibly a teacher since teaching runs in my family. I work very hard in athletics and academics. I am not ashamed to say that I may not be the biggest player on the roster, or the smartest, but I will be the hardest working and most loyal player/teammate.
Thank you for taking time to read my profile, which is still a work in progress.
