Growing up I liked competing in multiple sports: football, soccer, basketball, and baseball. But I always looked forward to baseball season. I found Baseball to be the biggest challenge of these sports both physically and mentally once I reached the level where my actions impacted the outcome of the game. I’ve learned that failure and success in this sport is not determined by one event, such as one disappointing at bat. The game of baseball challenges me to be a better person. One challenge I faced was moving often which required me to assimilate to new coaches and players and become an integral part of each new team I joined. When I played for Sandberg Baseball Club, I traveled one-hour one-way multiple times a week just for practice. This required dedication and a big sacrifice of time. I am coachable and learn quickly. This past season as an outfielder I learned to play first base and found success in this position at the 2022 15u WWBA Coastal Elite Championship, 2022 WWBA 2025 Grads or 15u National Championship, 2022 15u PG Sunshine State Championships, and the 2022 15u PG Coastal Invitational. This flexibility allowed me to add one more dimension to my role as a defensive player. My academic goal for high school is to earn a GPA 3.5 or higher. In college I would like to earn a degree in business. I’m interested in becoming an entrepreneur.
