Aloha! My name is Skyler Unebasami (c/o 2024) and I attend Mid-Pacific Institute (MPI) , which is a college prepatory school in Honolulu, Hawaii. Mid-Pacific Institute is a K-12 school with approximately 1500 students. I am currently on the American Legion Team at MPI. We finished off our Summer Travel Team, and I also started on our JV team last year. We won the ILH Championship in Spring of 2022 and I was the starting third baseman. My academic and athletic goal is to pursue an education with a focus on Nursing while being able to pursue my passion of playing baseball. I want to be able to play the sport I grew up with while challenging myself to progress as a player and a person.
I started playing baseball when I was four years old and it was love at first sight. I played under the tutelage of Nathan "Homey" Numata and the Hawaii Diamonds Sports Academy and have had the honor of representing Hawaii in the Babe Ruth League World Series in both 2016 and 2018.
I am currently holding a 3.7 GPA and have been studying Japanese language in school. In my free time, I enjoy shooting hoops, working out, watching professional baseball, and learning about the world around us. I am a volunteer during the summers at MPI and also at the Team Kado Dodgers Clinic. I believe in the value of giving back to my community. I look forward to making connections with each of you and showing you what I am able to bring to the table.
