1. Hard worker - I have control over the amount of effort I put in each day, thus no one can outwork me. 2. Discipline – I won't let myself be the cause of my failure. I have a strict work ethic and won't deceive either myself or my teammates. No quick fixes for success. Hard effort alone. 3. Selflessness - At all times and in all situations, I will prioritize the needs of the team before my own. Success for the team is success for me. My team's success is more important to me than any individual objective or accomplishment. We are only as strong as our weakest player, thus it is my responsibility as a leader to bring out the best in everyone without being judgmental or hurtful. 4. Dependable- I perform my duties every day and show up. We adopt a lunch pail perspective. I'll give every play my all and execute the standard plays, fundamental throws, and backing up throws. I have a location or position on every play depending on what happened during the at-bat. I'm constantly on the move and backing up a throw. My teammates can rely on me to be in the right place at the right time on any given play. 5. Resilient - I won't let my own troubles to affect the other team from either side of the field. I don't carry over my troubles at the plate to the field, and the opposite is true. I approach the game from a position of pride. taking the extra base, moving over the runners and doing whatever I can to make sure we don’t leave runners in scoring position. My defense behind the plate dictates the pace of the game. I cannot allow my emotions to get involved, regardless of what happens I must keep a cool head and a calm approach for my staff and my squad. I did everything I could to prevent us from leaving runners in scoring position, including moving over the runners and taking the extra base. The tempo of the game is set by my defense behind the plate. No matter what occurs, I must maintain composure and a calm demeanor for the benefit of my team and my squad. I cannot allow my emotions to enter the situation.
