Personal Statement

I intend to offer many skills as a future college student athlete.

STUDENT - I consider myself to be a dedicated student. My current GPA is a 3.89 (updated on 8.23.21) to start my senior year in high school.

HIGH CHARACTER INDIVIDUAL - I do not give up very easily and I am a very hard-working individual. I am a leader. I lead by example, both on and off the field. I volunteer at a homeless shelter for PADS every month.

ATHLETE - I love sports. I am a 3 sport athlete. I play football, basketball and baseball. But baseball is my favorite sport and the one that I would like to continue playing at the most competitive levels.

I have learned through playing sports, to not be afraid to fail. Hard work is the most important tool to success to exceed my goals and expectations in my academics, personal, and athletic endeavors. Throughout all of these years of playing sports, I have learned the value of being a good teammate and being a leader.

In summary, I am a high character individual, great student, great athlete, and a leader that wants to play baseball for as many years as I can!

Dominic batted .380,.472 OBP, and slugged .600 with 11 doubles, 1 triple, 3 HR's, 28 RBI's on the Illinois Indians Red team that finished 26-8-1 in the summer of 2019. He played shortstop and also pitched (1.84 ERA). He also finished in top 5 in all hitting categories for the Illinois Travel Baseball Club (all levels from 15 to 18U) in QAB's, Hits, RBIs, Batting Average, OPS and slugging.

Some highlights of Dominic’s, U12 travel baseball season: • 2 games with 5 hits • 5 games with 4 hits • Had 29 RBI’s in a 10 game span (while batting in the leadoff spot) • Went 11 for 12 in the MSBL tournament with 2 triples, 3 doubles, and 6 singles in 3 games (with 10 RBIs) • Hit a 275 foot HR at Harper College vs Buffalo Grove Black Bearcats • Hit a HR that landed (and stopped rolling) at 350 feet vs Next Level • Finished the season batting .528 and an on base percentage of .577 - with 16 doubles, 7 triples, 6 total home runs, 17 walks, stole more than 50 bases, and had more than 50 RBIs while batting lead off • He pitched 6 games during the season with 2 or less earned runs • Had a game where he struck out 10 players in a row (YES, 10 in a row) and another game in the MSBL tourney where he struck out 5 players in a row (Park Ridge)

Prep Baseball Report - Underclass Games, Class of 2022 (Invite Only)

BY INVITATION ONLY The event will feature the best identified Class of 2022 prospects from Illinois and Wisconsin on July 23 at the University of Illinois-Chicago’s all-turf Curtis Granderson Stadium. The recruiting process has accelerated dramatically in recent years, to the extent that many prospects have been giving verbal commitments early in their sophomore years. This event will help sort out the top prospects in the state at an earlier age. Additionally, the event will be used as an identifier for the following year’s PBR Future Games, which is the premier summer scouting event for incoming juniors. The PBR Future Games, is a huge event that features the best incoming junior prospects from our 40-plus states. Last year’s PBR Future Games over 200 college coaches from all over the country in attendance. The Underclass Games will be promoted on the Prep Baseball Report’s website. The Prep Baseball All results will be posted on the site, along with players’ highlights. All games will be at the University of Illinois-Chicago’s brand new Curtis Granderson Stadium. The all-turf complex is located at 901 W. Roosevelt Road in Chicago. ITINERARY Tuesday, July 23 All teams Position Players Check-In 8:00 - 8:30 am – Position Players Check-in 8:30 - 8:50 am – Stretch/Intro 9:00 -10:00 am – Team Batting Practice 10:00 - 11:00 am - Defensive Workouts Pitcher Only's will check-in one hour before their first scheduled game time. Game Play 11:15 - Team 1 vs. Team 2 1:00 - Team 3 vs. Team 4 *NOTE: Games are simulated to regulate pitch counts and innings played.

Underclass Trials, Illinois

The Prep Baseball Report Underclass Trials is an open showcase for Class of 2021, 2022 and 2023 prospects. Not only will players receive high-level exposure, but the event will also serve as an identifier for the Prep Baseball Report Future Games, which is the premier summer scouting event for 2021 prospects across our coverage area, in addition to the 2022 Underclass Games. All participants at the Underclass Trials will have their performance videotaped and hosted in their player profile, along with their verified statistics and scouting reports at PrepBaseballReport.com, which is subscribed to by hundreds of colleges and pro scouts across the country. Top players will be listed accordingly in our statewide player rankings. High-level prospects have the opportunity to be invited to the Prep Baseball Report Future Games, which features the top 2021 prospects from our 40-plus state coverage area. Last year, more than 200 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance. The ninth-annual Future Games will take place on July 31-Aug 3 (Wednesday-Saturday) at LakePoint, a state-of-the-art 8-field baseball complex located in Cartersvile, GA. The Underclass Trials also serves as an identifier for the 2022 Underclass Games, which will be held at the University of Illinois-Chicago on July 23. The Underclass Trials will be held at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium, an independent league stadium located in Schaumburg, IL. Roster spots are limited as this event did sell out last year.
