Zachary Gritten '21 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coach,

To start I just want to thank you for giving my profile a look as I know you are very busy. I hope after taking a look I will be a match for your school and program.

My name is Zachary Gritten and I'm a 2021 graduate third baseman and I attend Salt Fork High School in Catlin, IL. Not only do I work on the field, but I push myself to be a better person off the field as well. In the classroom I strive to keep my gpa at a very high level since academics are a major factor for me. I carry a A- average which means I keep up my 3.5 gpa. I turn in all my assignments on time, along with taking part in class by answering questions and discussions. I plan on majoring in any form of Sports Medicine with hopes to work in the sports industry later on. 

Now on the field, I push myself to become a better baseball player for myself and for my team. I push myself in the weight room, in the batting cage, analyzing footage and on the field taking reps. When it comes to hitting I am a batter who hits for average along with power. Last High School season I finished with 2 home runs and 13 extra base hits as a Sophomore and batted .309. I am mainly a third baseman but last year I had to fill in for the team at second base. I am a very versatile player who can adapt. At third base I see myself as the voice of the infield. I am always on communication along with taking charge when I am needed. 

My goal is to be the best baseball player I can be for whatever level or program I am a good fit for, I hope to get opportunities to play collegiate baseball.
