Johnny Colombo '19 Recruiting Profile

Class of 2019: I am a natural born hard working leader. I lead not only vocally, but by example. I have won numerous MVP awards and have always played up in level. I just completed my Sophomore year as the staring shortstop for the undefeated conference champion Lane Tech Varsity Baseball team. I won All Conference Honors and was the 2017-18 recipient as Underclassman of the Year, presented by the Century Foundation. Received Offensive Player of year for Elite Baseball summer 2017.  My combined Varsity BA over 2 years is over 380 with an OBP of over 400. This summer, playing for Elite Baseball Training, I am hitting 522, w 6 triples OBP of 533, 1.272 OPS, .739 slugging. I am a good friend, teammate and leader, and I look forward to taking my game to the next Level of college baseball upon graduation from Lane Tech. I have a very strong arm. I am 6'2" 155 lbs and still growing. I have great range, good speed and hit with power. My Dad played baseball at UC Davis.
