Personal Statement
Baseball has always been a part of my life. Like many others, I began playing baseball at age 5 and joined a travel (club) team at age 10. Since then, I haven't looked back and enjoy baseball just as much now. Baseball is a mental game that requires a lot of focus and hard work for success - and I have both. I have learned a lot from baseball and that is what makes me the player and person that I am. I have a high baseball IQ, which has helped me to become a better player. Even though my primary positions are catcher and 3rd base, I am a very versatile player and have played every position on the field. I am able to fit in on the field where ever a coach needs me to help a team succeed. My success doesn't end on the field, I have used the skills learned through baseball to help me succeed as a student too. I not only make good grades but am involved in many extra-curricular activities and leadership positions.
