Chase Hurst '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Chase Hurst and I have been involved with baseball since I could walk.  I enjoy the game and I believe my love is strong and continues to get stronger.  My goals would to make baseball into a career.  I have all the support I need but the one thing that is most important is yourself.  What parts me away from anyone else is that I'm always making myself better everyday.  I work on my own and make myself better.  I look more not in a negative way, but what I could do better and make my game a lot smoother.  I feed off the negativity that gets put out and turn it into a positive way for myself.  I'm always focused every play making sure I know what I'm going to do with the ball.  My grades come along with it to.  I have a 4.0/4.0 GPA.  I take grades very seriously and put school before anything.  I would like to make a career as a Mechanical Engineer.  I am a very competitive leader, the whole team feeds off my attitude towards the game.  I take control and make sure I do my part to lead the team into the right direction.  Along with baseball, I am a three sport athlete.  I play basketball, baseball, and golf for my High School.  I'm very efficient at the plate.  I have batted lead-off ever since I was little.  I am a player who will hit hard line drives into gaps and use opposite field to my advantage.  When I am in the infield, I cover a ton of ground. I don't let anything through without giving it a 110 percent effort.  Even on the base paths, I have a lot of speed and can steal, steal, and steal again.
