Jacob Carlson '26 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was 2 years old and swung a bat for the first time in tee ball I fell in love with this game. Picking up a glove for the first time, having your first high school at bat/hit, pitching for the first time in a season are all things that give me emotion towards this game. I’ve spent countless hours on the field, honing my skills, learning teamwork, and communication with my team and coaches. Baseball taught me resilience. After striking out, I’d step back into the batter’s box, determined to improve. Baseball isn't just a physical game, it's a mental game that takes even more practice to learn. I've been prone to many injuries during my time playing. All I can say about injuries is that they're apart of the game, and that those setbacks are opportunities for comebacks. My commitment extends beyond the diamond. I maintain a strong GPA, knowing that academic excellence opens doors. My dream is to play college baseball, to wear the jersey, step onto the field, and contribute to a winning program.
